17th ANNUAL RESIDENTIAL SPRING CLEAN-UP
The City of Jonesville will be holding its 17th Annual Residential Spring Clean-Up. The pickup is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th. Modern Waste Systems will begin pick up at 7:00 A.M. All items must be placed at the curb prior to 7:00 A.M. on April 29, 2023; however, residents can start putting their items out starting Saturday, April 22nd. Remember, “One person’s junk is another person’s treasure”, so you may see your items disappear before Saturday. If you are a “picker”, please be courteous when sorting and leave areas tidy, also please do so at a decent time, no later than 9:00 p.m.
This activity also allows residents the opportunity to comply with the Outdoor Storage “junk” Ordinance without incurring additional disposal costs. We encourage residents to participate and help keep Jonesville an attractive community in which to live, work and play. Properties not in compliance with the junk ordinance may receive a citation.
There is no limit as to the amount of items placed at the curb. The following items that can be placed out for pick up are: manageable bags/boxes less than 50 lbs., furniture, toys, bicycles, home fixtures, wheel rims. Unacceptable items include: Construction materials, yard waste, liquid or hazardous waste, tires, motor oil, and car batteries.

If you have some metal “junk” items, the Jonesville American Legion raises funds by picking up scrap metal to support projects like the Freedom Memorial. Please feel free to give Larry Rathbun a call at (517) 425.1321 to arrange pick up.
